Parvathy proved she has inherited more than her dad Ratheesh’s sparkling eyes with her promising debut as a Sri Lankan refugee in Madhuranaranga. The actress is now all set to star in her next titled Shikamani, directed by Vinod Guruvayoor. On the film that has Chemban Vinod as the titular character, its director says, “Parvathy will play an urban girl who gets lost in the wild.
There she meets a railway gangman Shikamani, who patrols the forest area.” Vinod Guruvayoor, who has also penned the script, explains that the movie explores the differences in thoughts and lives of two people belonging to different social strata.
“There will be a lot of funny moments especially when a girl from the city falls for a naïve villager. His innocence, her ignorance and how they bond despite the differences make up the light-hearted tale,” he shares. The Hero scribe says that Parvathy will have to perform some action sequences in the forest as well. “Some of them will be risky, and the adventurous character will surely challenge her as an actor. But she’s game for it.”
The movie will be shot in picturesque locations including Kurangini, a hill station located in the Western Ghats. “Films such as Kumki and Maina have captured the beauty of this magnificent destination earlier,” he explains.
