‘Palthu Janwar’ trailer: Basil Joseph plays a livestock inspector

‘Palthu Janwar’ is heading to the cinemas on September 2, and ahead of its release, the makers have launched a trailer, giving a glimpse into what the film has to offer. The upcoming film features Basil Joseph as Prasul, a livestock inspector. The naive, young, and sociable livestock inspector arrives at a village, where everyone has been eagerly waiting for him. The village has all sorts of domesticated animals including an elephant. However, things don’t go as planned for Prasul, and he gets into some sort of trouble with the villagers.

Basil Joseph, who grabbed the attention of the cinegoers nationwide with his directorial ‘Minnal Murali’, a superhero film starring Tovino Thomas, looks exceptionally well as the livestock inspector. Thespian Thilakan’s son and popular actor Shammy Thilakan, who apparently is the higher officer to Prasul steals the show with his brilliant performance in the trailer. Actors Indrans, Dileesh Pothen, and Johny Antony too add to the experience.

‘Palthu Janwar’ is directed by debutant Sangeet P Rajan, who has previously worked as an associate director. Billed as a festival theatrical release, the film also has actors Indrans, Johnny Antony, Dileesh Pothan, Shammi Thilakan, Shruti Suresh, Jayakurup, Athira Harikumar, Thangam Mohan, Steffy Sunny, Vijayakumar, Kiran Peethambaran, CB Thomas and Joji John in pivotal roles.

'Paalthu Janwar' is co-scripted by writer Vinoy Thomas and Aneesh Anjali. Renadive, who has previously wielded the camera for films including ‘Vijay Superum Pournamiyum’, and ‘Shylock’ has roped in as the cinematographer for ‘Palthu Janwar’. Award-winning editor Kiran Das too has roped in for the project. Gokuldas is in charge of the art department, while, the sound design is done by Nithin Lukose. Mashar Hamsa is the costume designer, while the makeup is done by award-winning artist Ronex Xavier.
