Mollywood actress
Padmapriya
who was last scene in Telugu in the 2010 film Andari Banduvaya, is making a comeback to the industry with a film directed by debutant Vasu Parimi titled Patel S.I.R. In the film, she plays the love interest of Jagapathy Babu, who won a huge fan following after his performance in Pulimurugan. The filmmaker says, “Patel S.I.R is an action thriller with an emotional backdrop. Padmapriya is the leading lady, named Raji. Her character is that of a stylish NRI doctor and she is the love interest of Jagapathy Babu’s character. That’s all I can say about her role at the moment.”
Mollywood’s much-loved Daddy Girija plays a “62-year-old dangerous man” in the film, reveals Vasu. “He also sports a stylish look, and is quite aggressive in nature,” he adds. He is undergoing an interesting transformation for the film to play the role, say sources.
The movie’s story is by Sunil Sudhakar, and screenplay, by the director himself. Goa, Hyderabad and a couple of surprise foreign spots serve as the backdrop of Patel S.I.R.
