‘Nunakkuzhi’, the black comedy film starring Basil Joseph and directed by Jeethu Joseph, continues to draw audiences, securing solid box office collections in its first week.

According to early estimates from Sacnilk, the film has garnered Rs 6.47 crore in just 7 days. On its seventh day alone, the movie is estimated to have collected Rs 7 lakh. On Wednesday, August 21, 2024, the film registered an overall 6.35% occupancy in theaters across Kerala. Despite the modest occupancy, the film’s unique premise and engaging performances have helped it maintain a steady box office performance.

The film, which is a first-time collaboration between actor Basil Joseph and director Jeethu Joseph, has been praised for its unique storyline and strong performances. The plot revolves around Eby, portrayed by Basil Joseph, who becomes entangled in a series of comical and dramatic events after attempting to retrieve his laptop, which contains intimate recordings of him and his wife. The laptop, unfortunately, falls into the hands of an income tax officer, triggering a chain of humorous and tense situations.

Grace Antony plays Reshmita, a woman dealing with a contentious divorce and false accusations.
