The actor, who plays varied characters in each project, is upbeat about the way his career graph is progressing. Interestingly, Albey’s Sunny Wayne-starrer Starring
Pournami will see him in a prominent role and the actor is all set to head to the Himalayas for its second schedule.
“This is a period film which will be shot across seven states. The first schedule stretched from Delhi to Manali. I am a travel freak and have been to Uttarakhand before. However, travelling there for work was a different experience. The second schedule will be in Ladakh, which has always been there in my travel wish list,” he says, adding, “The team will soon take off to the Himalayas for the second schedule with the onset of snowfall there. There is a huge surprise element in my character.”
The actor is also upbeat about sharing screen space with Mollywood superstar Mohanlal in Srinath Rajendran’s
Koothara, which also stars Ranjini, Bharath and Sunny Wayne in prominent roles. The movie, which revolves around three youngsters has Tovino playing one of the leads. “I can’t divulge more details, because we don’t want to lose the freshness of the subject,” says the actor.
Tovino, who was earlier an assistant to director Roopesh Peethambaran, has also signed up for the director’s next film,
You Too Brutus. The movie was in the news for its unique concept of six climaxes. It will see a host of stars including Sreenivasan, Aju Varghese, Anu Mohan and Ahmed Siddique. A fun film about a few interesting incidents happening in a beach house, the movie is centred on seven characters.
Though there are more offers coming his way, the actor asserts that he doesn’t want to repeat his characters. Now, Tovino heads to the Himalayas
