No Xmas releases for Mammootty, Dileep this year

December is usually packed with Mollywood releases. However, this year owing to the demonetisation as well as certain other incidents, the number of releases are cut down. In fact, Mammootty and Dileep, who were initially slotted to have their movies released on Christmas, have pushed their films to next month.

Mammootty's The

Great Father

was supposed to hit theatres during Xmas season but will now have a January release while Dileep's

Georgettan's Pooram

too has been pushed reportedly owing to the backlash the actor has received for his wedding with Kavya Madhavan.

However the season will see three major releases - Prithviraj's horror-thriller Ezra, Mohanlal's Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol and

Dulquer

Salmaan's Jomonte Suviseshangal.
