Nivin's film is not named 'Santa Maria'

Rumours are rife that Nivin Pauly's debut solo hero film in Tamil, directed by GautamRamachandran, is named 'Santa Maria'. But the film's director rubbishes the claim saying it isn't true.

'It's just a baseless rumour. I guess someone cooked that up after hanging around the shooting sets for a few days. We should be fixing the title of the film in a few days, 'says Gautam, who has started shooting for the film in Manappad, where Maniratnam's Kadal movie too was shot. 'The township of Manappad, Thoothukudi and Courtallam are the major locations of the movie,' says the director.

The film's shoot commenced on June 9 and it also has Shraddha Srinath and Lakshmi Chandramouli as the female protagonists. The film is loosely based on the Kannada movie '

Ulidavaru Kandanthe

', which was directed by Rakshith Shetty.
