Nivin Pauly's new film is set in the movie industry

Actor Nivin Pauly's next movie is titled '

Thaaram

' and the film, directed by

Vinay Govind

, is just announced.

The film is scripted by Vivek Ranjith and has music by Rahul Raj. Vinay, who has earlier helmed films like Kili Poyi and Kohinoor, tells us, "The film is a family comedy drama and everyone would be able to relate to its story. It is set in the movie industry, but it is not a 'film inside a film' story. At the same time, it is not a realistic movie, like the current genre of reality-based films that we often get to watch. The movie is inspired by real stories for sure, but the treatment would be a bit different."

The team has not decided on a date yet to start with the shoot, as Nivin's dates need to be finalised. Vinay says the movie's shoot would be held outside Kerala too. "Thaaram has Darjeeling and locations outside Kerala too where we would be shooting. The location recce would start soon and we are expecting to start with the shoot this year itself," he adds.
