Nivin Pauly to play Mullakoya in Geethu Mohandas's Moothon

Mollywood’s heartthrob Nivin Pauly is all set to portray his new avatar for

Geethu Mohandas

’s

Moothon

. We hear that Nivin will play the role

Mullakoya

, a man from Lakshadweep, who sets out a journey to find his brother.

The character was revealed by the director at a recent interview. She says, “Moothon is about a man called Mullakoya from Lakshadweep, the film follows him as he sets off on a journey to find his brother. Moothon is island slang for elder brother (sic)”. However the actor had recently completed his advanced acting lessons with

Atul Moria

for the film. “Moothon is completely made as an artistic expression of mine, never an offbeat or commercial. I’m a bit nervous frankly to know how the audience would take in my making style, I feel they would love it. Nivin rightly fits in to play the title character Moothon and I feel it would work out well (sic)” she adds.

The bilingual movie penned by Geethu herself has dialogues written by filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who is making his Mollywood debut with this project. The camera is cranked by her husband and film maker Rajeev Ravi.
