Nitya Menon reminded me of Sreevidya

Yesteryear actress Sreepriya, who will be directing the Tamil and Telugu remakes of Aashiq Abu's 22 Female Kottayam, is much happy with her lead actress, Nitya Menon.
"I feel that Nitya can do justice to the role played by Rima. Also, she reminds me of late actress Sreevidya," she says. Regarding her choice of 22FK for the remakes, she says, "'what the film portrays is something real, something which happens in our country.Ten-year-olds are getting raped every day. As a woman and as a mother, I wanted to show my anger by making these films."
The crew are still on the lookout for a male lead for the film.
