Nimisha Sajayan pokes fun at Joju George

During the official announcement of Sanal Kumar Sasidharan's upcoming movie Chola, actress Nimisha Sajayan was seen making fun of Joju George' tummy. She enacted the epic comedy scene from Biju Menon's Vellimoonga by singing lullaby patting on Joju's tummy at the press club in Kochi. The actor was seen retorting to it by saying that he will soon reduce it and Sanal supports him. The director then also tells Nimisha not to reduce much weight for Chola.

Written by Sanal and novelist K V Manikandan, it is touted to be a realistic film for the ‘matured Malayali audience’.

“The film isn’t built over the story but the circumstances around it. Hence, if I give you the gist of the story, you may not find it interesting. It is based on an important incident that happens in the life of three people. The incident has a representative character and it explores the idea of power politics and feminine identity,” added the director. However, he said that it isn’t a political film, but speaks about contemporary power politics in Kerala. “We wrote the script ten years back and all we did now is to improvise on it,” he explained. The film is expected to go on floors in July.
