Nimisha plays a schoolgirl in Chola

Nimisha plays a schoolgirl in Chola
Right from her first film, actress Nimisha Sajayan has been mostly playing roles that are way mature for her age, be it Sreeja of Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum or Clara of Mangalyam Thanthunanena.
In her next film titled Chola, directed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, the 22-year-old does a role that she hasn't attempted, so far. She will be playing a school girl in the film, which also has Joju George as the male lead.
“Playing the young school girl was quite a challenge for me.

Sanalettan’s method is far different from that of other directors,” Nimisha says. The actress says for a long time, she couldn’t get into the skin of the character. “Generally, directors would shoot close ups, mid and wide angles but he would take shots at a stretch. Moreover, becoming a little girl yet again was extremely difficult. He scolded me a lot and a few times I even told him, ‘Sanaletta, if you want me to be a kid back again, I cannot.’ Then he told me, ‘Nimisha, be yourself. Your mannerisms in real life will suit this role very well.’ After a point, I guess I could understand the girl better.”
The movie was mostly shot in Thommankuthu and it is expected to hit screens around January.
