Navajit Narayan lands his maiden lead role

Actor Navajit Narayan, who had played character roles such as Alex in Lilli and the Malayalam poet Changampuzha Krishna Pillai in Aami, is on cloud nine these days, after getting the opportunity to play his first lead character.
The film titled Gagulthayile Kozhiporu, which will be directed by newcomers Jibit and Jinoy, deals with an interesting and quirky subject much like its title, says Navajit.“It revolves around the lives of two families. It deals with their relationships and how the dimensions between people have been changing. The movie also has elements of comedy and touches upon friendship and love. It is a feel-good movie and will be a family entertainer,” he says.
State Award winners Indrans and Pauly Valsan will be seen as his parents in the film, which has Veena Nandakumar playing the female lead and actors Sohan Seenulal and Jolly Chirayath in pivotal supporting characters. Another State Award winner, Appu Bhattathiri, will be serving as its editor.
The film will go on floors on December 19, and will be shot predominantly in Kalamassery, Kochi.
