Veteran actor Urvashi was recently honored with the National Award for Best Supporting Actress (Female) for her role in 'Ullozhukku'. Now the veteran actress received a grand welcome on the sets of her upcoming film 'Aasha'.
The makers released a heartwarming video where Urvashi is seen entering the sets as cast and crew shower her with claps, with
Joju George cheering and clapping enthusiastically for the celebrated actress.
Urvashi's daughter cheers her mom
Urvashi’s daughter, Tejalakshmi (fondly called Kunjatta), expressed her pride on Instagram. Taking to Instagram, Kunjatta wrote, “One of the most beautiful days of my life, A surreal and proud moment. Watching Amma receive the National Award for Best Supporting Actress for the second time felt like the biggest privilege of my life. To witness that stage, to be there, and on top of it all, seeing our Lalettan being honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award representing Malayalam cinema Truly a proud moment for all of us .”
Meanwhile, veteran actor Vijayaraghavan, who also received the National Award for Best Supporting Actor for Pookkaalam, shared his gratitude: “71st National Award 2023 The best actor in supporting role for “Pookkalam” 53 years, countless characters, endless lessons — and tonight, this honor finds its way home again. The second National Award for our family, the first was won by my father. This one is for him, for the journey, and for everyone who stood by me. First on-screen collaboration of Urvashi and Joju George
Talking about the film 'Aasha', it marks the first on-screen collaboration between Urvashi and Joju George, who will be joined by
Aishwarya Lekshmi and Vijayaraghavan in pivotal roles. The film is being shot across Kalady and surrounding regions and also features Ramesh Girija of 'Pani' fame. The expectations are high for the Urvashi starrer.
