‘Narivetta’ box office collections day 6: Tovino’s thriller mints 9 crores

Tovino Thomas’ latest thriller ‘Narivetta’ continues to maintain a solid run at the box office, pulling in a respectable Rs 9 crore India net collection over its first six days.


Day-wise collection breakdown

According to data from the Sacnilk website, ‘Narivetta’ opened with Rs 1.65 crore on its first Friday, followed by a slight increase on Saturday with Rs 1.85 crore and peaking on Sunday at Rs 2.25 crore. As expected, weekday figures dipped, with Monday and Tuesday bringing in Rs 1.2 crore and Rs 1.19 crore, respectively. On its sixth day, Wednesday, the film added another Rs 86 lakhs, pushing the total to Rs 9 crore.

Occupancy Trends

On Wednesday, May 28, ‘Narivetta’ recorded an overall Malayalam occupancy rate of 21.77%. Interestingly, night shows showed the strongest turnout, clocking 31.43%, compared to just 10.25% during morning shows.

Breaking it down by region:

• Kochi led with an impressive 31.75% overall occupancy, spiking to 53% during night shows.
• Trivandrum posted a moderate 18.5%, with night shows drawing 32%.
• Bengaluru lagged behind at 11% overall, with a peak of 18% in the evening.
• Chennai surprised with 29.67% overall, driven by strong afternoon and night performances.

Starring Tovino Thomas alongside Suraj Venjaramoodu, Cheran, and Arya Salim, Narivetta has attracted attention for its tight storytelling and impressive ensemble cast.

On the other hand, Tovino Thomas was last seen in the Mohanlal starrer action flick ‘L2: Empuraan’ which was directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran.
