My first State Award reaction was 'Poda Pulle': GP

It's recently that actor-anchor Govind Padmasoorya aka GP won the State Television Award for the Best Anchor this year. GP was shooting for his upcoming film Pretham, directed by Ranjith Sankar, when the news was out and interestingly, he didn't believe when Aju Varghese disclosed it to him.
GP recollects, 'I had kept my phone aside as we were shooting, and it's Aju who first came to me and said 'congratulations'. We have been having a lot of fun on Pretham's set with food, pranks and more, and I thought it's just one of his antics. I just snapped back at him saying 'Poda Pulle'. It's later that I discovered he wasn't bluffing.' The actor went back to Aju later, but guess what he said! GP narrates, 'I excitedly said 'Aliya! Thanks! And he just told me 'Poda Pulle!' (laughs).' The actor won the Award for his presentation of the quiz show Adi Mone Buzzer on Asianet.

'Pretham' also has Jayasurya, Premam fame Sharafudheen, Pearle Maaney and Shruti Ramachandran in prominent roles.
