With corporates foraying into Mollywood and money flowing along with it, the question is that whether big budget flicks would kick off an enduring trend in the industry. However, director
Hariharan, who helmed Pazhassiraja ' the highest budget Malayalam film till date ' thinks otherwise.
'The lifeline of Mollywood has always been small projects as its market is limited.
But big production firms will only be targeting commercial flicks that can generate as much revenue as possible, making cinema purely business,' he says.
While the aim of production houses' is arguably the profitability of the project, Hariharan advices, 'Despite all the talks about money, the ultimate focus has to always be on the quality of the film as that is what the audience wants.'
