Actor Murali Gopy recently launched the Malayalam short film Fugue, which has got special recognition and multiple awards at numerous film festivals. Written and directed by Vivek Joseph Varughese, the film takes the audience through a few people and their broken lives.
While the female protagonist Ashley is haunted by the memories of her mother’s past, and her existence being ‘an illegitimate child, she meets Roy, who is clinging on to his association with his mother and is living by convincing himself that his mother is still alive.
The film revolves around the life of Ashley, who is very lonely and how her views about life and relationships change when she chances upon Roy.
Syamaprakash M S, Rashmi K Nair, Harikrishnan and Aswathy Mukundan are seen essaying various characters in the film. While Nimish Ravi has handled the cinematography, the editing is done by Christy Sebastian.
