Mukesh and Methil Devika to part ways

Malayalam actor-MLA Mukesh and dancer Methil Devika parted ways. Methil Devika has reportedly confirmed the news of separation and shared that she has filed a divorce petition. She has added that the reason behind the divorce is personal and also stated that she has no interest in defaming Mukesh or has any plans to tangle personal issues with Mukesh’s public life as a politician and actor.
“I have sent him a legal notice to this effect. Am not interested in saying the reason and other things. The decision to separate is mutual and it is painful. I was waiting for the elections to get over. I am not interested in criticizing him and there has been no domestic violence issue at all,” Devika reportedly said.
While speaking to the media, she had also divulged that she has been waiting for the elections to wrap up, to file a divorce petition, and also dismissed the allegations of domestic violence.
Mukesh is one of the veteran and seasoned actors in Malayalam cinema. He is now a two-time legislator of the CPI-M after retaining his Kollam assembly seat in the April 6 Assembly elections. Mukesh and Methil Devika entered wedlock in 2013. It was a second marriage for both of them. Mukesh was earlier married to actress Saritha and has two children from the relationship. Methil Devika is a popular Mohiniyattam dancer and she has a son from her first marriage.
Recently, there have been reports that Mukesh and Methil Devika’s marriage is on the rocks, but neither of them clarified. And when speculations of the celebrity couple’s separation increased on social media platforms, Methil Devika opened about it.
