Mohanlal’s mother Santhakumari Amma passes away: Kamal Haasan consoles ‘Brother Mohanlal’; Chiranjeevi pens heartfelt tribute

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s mother, Santhakumari Amma, passed away on Tuesday, December 30.

Social media is filled with tributes for the legendary actor’s beloved mother. Actors Kamal Haasan and Chiranjeevi also took to Twitter to share their condolences.

Kamal Haasan’s words of comfort

Actor Kamal Haasan shared an emotional message for Mohanlal. Taking to his X handle Kamal Haasan wrote directly to him and showed deep care and understanding. His message read, "Brother @MohanLal only you can console yourself. Friends will stand by you as always. No amount of comforting can compensate a loss like this. Take care we all love you. Kamal Haasan."

Chiranjeevi and Mammootty pay respects

Actor Chiranjeevi also shared a touching tribute for Mohanlal. He tweeted, "My dear friend @Mohanlal , My heart goes out to you on the loss of your beloved Amma. A mother’s presence shapes us in ways words can never express, and her love stays with us forever as strength, comfort, and silent guidance. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May her soul rest in eternal peace."

Superstar Mammootty was seen visiting Mohanlal’s residence. He paid his last respects to Santhakumari Amma. The 'Kalamkaval' actor spent some time with the family.
