Mohanlal and Suchitra have been married since 1988. Suchitra is the daughter of renowned Tamil film producer K. Balaji, and the couple shares two children: Pranav Mohanlal, who is also an actor, and Vismaya Mohanlal.

Upcoming projects: 'Hridayapoorvam' & 'Vrusshabha'

Professionally, Mohanlal is set to appear next in the family drama Hridayapoorvam, directed by Sathyan Anthikad. The film’s screenplay is penned by Sonu T. P., based on a story written by the director’s son, Akhil Sathyan. The ensemble cast features Malavika Mohanan, Sangeeth Prathap, Sangita Madhavan Nair, Siddique, Sabitha Anand, Baburaj, Nishan, Lalu Alex, Janardhanan, and S. P. Charan. ‘Hridayapoorvam’ is scheduled for theatrical release on August 28.

Mohanlal will also appear in the upcoming multilingual epic action drama ‘Vrusshabha’.
