Mohanlal's birthday: From cooking to 'naked glances', celebs share fun memories

Everyone in the Malayalam industry posted wishes to superstar Mohanlal on his birthday, with a fan page noting that Mammootty’s wish came right at midnight. And while everyone from Manju Warrier to Dulquer Salman wished the actor on his 61st birthday, some went down memory lane and gave glimpses into special moments with him.
Nadiya Moidu, who shared naughty and emotional moments with the actor in her debut Nokkethadhoorathu Kannum Nattu, remembered one of the most fun scenes from the film.Girly decides to pull her neighbour Sreekumar’s leg by wearing glasses that he thinks enables her to see him naked. “Wishing you a wonderful bday Laletta... reminiscing the classic scene from our film,” she wrote on Instagram.

Manoj K Jayan shared a “precious, unforgettable moment” from the Padma awards ceremony in 2019. Sharing a picture from the day with both his and Mohanlal’s spouses, he wrote, “This photo was taken at a proud moment. It was when my father (Carnatic singer K G Jayan) was bestowed the Padma Shri and Lalettan got the Padma Bhushan.”

Actor Vijay Babu remembered the time they worked together on 2014 film Pezhuchari. Posting a picture of Mohanlal, who is known to love cooking, in the kitchen, he wrote, “Memory from few of the most unforgettable days in my life… when we galavanted in the streets of California .. when we cooked together ... worked together .. love u. Muaaah.”

Actor-anchor Meera Nandan seemed to be ready to jump with joy when Mohanlal on being asked who a dear friend he enjoyed working with was pointed to her. “I think we can wrap up the show, there’s nothing more to be said,” she says laughing.
