Mohanlal, Prithviraj, laud Kochi Metro's move to employ transgenders

The Kochi Metro recently launched an initiative which is probably the first of its kind in the country - employing transgenders as staff. The move has been lauded from all quarters, and among them are Mohanlal and Prithviraj. While Mohanlal called it a 'commendable initiative by Kochi Metro Rail' on his social networking page, Prithviraj shared the news story on his page, which has been reshared more than 800 times since.

It has to be remembered that Mammootty recently recommended a trans actress, Anjali Ameer, to act in his film, and she is currently the heroine of his film. As part of the Kochi Metro's initiative, 23 transgenders will be among the staff which includes ticket and housekeeping staff.
