Mohanlal, Prithviraj, and the ‘Empuraan’ team arrive in black for the FDFS of the film as it takes over theaters with grand celebrations!

Black was the official uniform code of the ‘Empuraan’ team as they arrived for the FDFS of ‘Empuraan,’ the highly anticipated sequel to Lucifer, which hit theaters across Kerala.

Chenda melam performances

Fans welcomed the film with grand celebrations, including traditional chenda melam performances and fireworks, turning cinema halls into festival grounds.

Adding to the spectacle, lead stars Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, and Tovino Thomas made a striking appearance at the first show held at Kavitha Theatre in Ernakulam. Dressed in stylish black outfits, the team embodied the Empuraan spirit, setting social media abuzz with their coordinated look. Their arrival further fueled the excitement, as fans erupted in cheers to witness their favorite stars together.

The film has already rewritten history at the box office. Reports from the production team revealed that Empuraan secured a record-breaking ₹58 crore in pre-sale bookings, surpassing all previous Malayalam film records. In a new revelation, director-actor Prithviraj Sukumaran confirmed that tickets worth ₹50 crore were sold on the release day alone, further cementing the film’s dominance.
