Mohanlal planning an international collaboration for the post-production works of his maiden directorial ‘Barroz’
Legendary actor Mohanlal is turning into a director with the upcoming film ‘
‘Barroz – Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure’ is made on a massive scale, in terms of its cast and crew and also the budget. The latest reports suggest that Mohanlal will be collaborating with an international team for the post-production works of the film, as it is a 3D film, and he wants the best! Earlier, Mohanlal himself had confirmed that they are planning to collaborate with an international platform for the release.
Helmed by Mohanlal, ‘Barroz – Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure’is a touted to be a 3D fantasy film. The film is adapted from Jijo Punnoose’s eponymous story. A veteran filmmaker, Jijo Punnoose is best known for making ‘My Dear Kuttichathan’, India’s first 3D film, and also the first person in South Indian cinema to make a film (Padayottam) in 70 mm format.
On the technical front, National award-winning cinematographer Santosh Sivan will be cranking the lens, while child prodigy Lydian Nadhaswaram is composing the music.
Mohanlal will be seen playing the titular role of Barroz, who has been protecting a treasure for the past 400 years. The actor also did a jaw-dropping makeover for the role. He appeared in a tonsured look in the first look poster of the film. It has been over 42 years, since Mohanlal has been working in the entertainment industry as an actor, and ‘Barroz – Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure’ is surely a milestone in his career.
