'L366': Mohanlal joins Tharun Moorthy’s film, says ‘Starting this journey with gratitude’

Mohanlal has joined the sets of ‘L366’ helmed by Tharun Moorthy. The film went on floors on Friday, January 23, in Thodupuzha.

Mohanlal, who has teamed up with Tharun Moorthy for their 2025 blockbuster ‘Thudarum’, expressed that he is commencing this new journey with gratitude. “Starting this journey with gratitude as I join the sets of #L366. Thankful for all your blessings and prayers,” Mohanlal said.

The superstar was seen dressed in a white shirt and all smiles as he joined the team for the shoot. Mohanlal also shared a series of photos from the sets.

Meet the crew of L366

Helmed by Tharun Moorthy, the upcoming film, tentatively titled ‘L366,’ is scripted by Ratheesh Ravi, best known for his previous works 'Pullokkaran Stara’ featuring Mammootty, and films like ‘Ishq,’ ‘Adi,’ and ‘Alappuzha Gymkhana.’ ‘Thudarum’ cinematographer Shaji Kumar and music director Jakes Bejoy are part of the film.




National award-winning editor Vivek Harshan, best known for his work in ‘Jigarthanda’, ‘Manjummel Boys’, and ‘Aavesham’ has joined the crew. National award-winning sound designer Vishnu Govind is also part of the crew. Other crew members include costume designer Mashar Hamsa, production designer Gokuldas, and makeup artist Ronex Xavier.

The film was officially launched earlier this month with a switch-on ceremony at the Vaikom Mahadeva Temple. “Every film of mine begins at Vaikom Mahadeva Temple. My art, my writing — everything was born here. There is no greater bliss than starting again from this sacred place. Officially from January 23. Switch on. Let’s roll. #L,” Tharun Moorthy said during the time.

As the film has finally gone on floors, the makers will soon announce the other cast members.

Mohanlal and Tharun Moorthy’s first collaboration was for the 2025 release ‘Thudarum’, which brought a significant impact in the superstar’s career. The film, which also starred Shobana, won the hearts of the audience, especially the family audience, and it emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. The film also received critical acclaim. As they are reuniting for yet another film, all eyes are on the project.
