Mohanlal expresses his opinion on Odiyan

Mohanlal latest release Odiyan reached the theatres with a lot of hype and consequent expectations. However, from the reviews of critics and fans the movie has failed to live up to that hype which was built by its makers.
In a recent interaction just a few days before the movie’s release, Mohanlal seemed to have backtracked from the unrealistic expectations that was brought upon by its marketing juggernaut and he called the project a “paavam film”.
“It’s an interesting movie with songs and action scenes. But it’s also a paavam movie, there’s no magic in it. It’s got a normal story that happens in a village. It’s given a lot of importance to emotions,” he said.
