Murali, who redefined the concept of lead role in Malayalam movies with his realistic and toughened characters was a cultural icon for his contributions in the field of cinema, drama and literature. An actor who had the ability to handle both commercial and art house movies and played more than 200 characters in different languages, Murali always has always had a special place in
Malayalam cinema.
