'Mohanlal and I miss Sreenivasan the most', says 'Hridayapoorvam' director Sathyan Anthikad
Mohanlal and the veteran director Sathyan Anthikad's reunion after a decade with 'Hridayapoorvam' this Onam has not only thrilled audiences but also brought back fond memories of some of the industry’s most iconic films. Recently in an interview, the 'Hridayapoorvam' director said that he and Mohanlal miss the legend Sreenivasan the most.
Sathyan Anthikad's journey through classics
Sathyan Anthikad–Mohanlal duo has given Malayalam cinema some of its most enduring classics. What makes these films even more special is the strong creative bond they shared with writer and actor Sreenivasan. He penned the maximum number of scripts for Sathyan Anthikad’s films, many of which starred Mohanlal in unforgettable roles.
Sathyan Anthikad on missing Sreenivasan
Many of Sreenivasan’s dialogues have become like proverbs for Malayalis. Lines like ‘Everything has its own time, Daasa, don’t utter a word about Poland’ are etched in people’s minds,” he said.
Sathyan Anthikad further added: “If not for Sreenivasan as a friend and as a writer, I would not have been able to make so many good films. The lessons I learned from him even helped me when I began writing scripts myself.”
'Hridayapoorvam' brings back the magic
While 'Hridayapoorvam' is scripted by Sonu T.P. from a story by Akhil Sathyan, the film carries the essence of Sathyan Anthikad’s heartfelt storytelling. Starring Mohanlal as Sandeep Balakrishnan, with Malavika Mohanan as the female lead, the film also features Sangeeth Prathap, Sangeetha, Siddique, Lalu Alex, Janardhanan, Baburaj, and more. The movie is receiving decent reviews from the audiences.

Wish Hridyapoirvam movie had Sreenivas featuring in some role for the sake of honouring him. If that had happened it would have given Sreenivasan a chance to connect with the audience in dome way and some earning for the veteran actor. It's more important to honour a man or woman while living rather than when passed away...Deeds more important than words.Read allPost comment
