'Minnal Murali’ fame Awan Pookot to play Manoj Bajpayee's son in ‘Pahadon Mein’ - Exclusive!

The entire crew of the Malayalam superhero film ‘Minnal Murali’ is riding high on its success. The child actor Awan Pookot who played the childhood of Tovino Thomas in the film is making his Bollywood debut with the upcoming Raam Reddy directorial film ‘Pahadon Mein’ starring actor Manoj Bajpayee in the lead role.

In an exclusive conversation with ETimes, Awan Pookot’s parents revealed that he will be playing the son of the Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee in the family-oriented film. It was also revealed that Awan has completed his 60 days shoot for the film.

“During the shoot for the film, Manoj Bajpayee was very impressed with Awan’s acting and he even advised us to make him act in much more films as he has a huge potential.” Awan Pookot’s mother Roshna said during the interview.


Roshna also said, “Manoj Bajpayee’s whole family was present in the shooting set and Awan found his company with Manoj’s daughter Ava Nayla. He was very active during the shoot and everyone loved him”. She further told that there were a few Malayalis in the crew who were happy at seeing a boy from Kerala getting selected for playing the lead role in a Bollywood film and that too with the renowned actor Manoj Bajpayee.

Awan Pookot is currently studying in 3rd standard at a popular school in Kozhikode, Kerala, named ‘Silver Hills Higher Secondary School’. The child actor has a keen interest in acting and he has also appeared in the Britannia Biscuits advertisement and a Malayalam film named ‘Jimmy Ee Veedinte Aishwaryam’.
The upcoming Bollywood film ‘Pahadon Mein’ is directed by Raam Reddy who is best known for the Kannada film ‘Thithi’ which was released in the year 2016.
The actress Priyanka Bose who has played major roles in the films ‘Lion’, ‘Gulaab Gang’ and the Hollywood Web-series ‘The Wheels of Time’, will be playing a pivotal role in the film ‘Pahadon Mein’.
