Actor-director Joy Mathew has commented on his Facebook page in support of the headmistress of Cotton Hill school, Trivandrum. The headmistress was transferred recently for not receiving the Education Minister of the state properly and making accusatory comments publicly about his lateness in attending a public event at the school. "This reminds me of the age of royalty where anyone who displeases the king was sentenced to death immediately.
If these ministers did everything for the state with such vigour and implemented it at this speed, we would have reached great heights," he said. He added that it was no terrorist attack that the headmistress did to merit such a punishment and ridiculed the 'so-called intellectuals' for not commenting on the issue.
"I am a film person and I can fearlessly make such a comment because I am not dependent on any minister for my job. But noone has come in support of that lady, it's sad," he said.
