Meghana all set to tickle funny bone

Over the last year, actress Meghana Raj has acted in over a dozen Malayalam films playing the traditional, mature woman. However, she is all set to break away from the stereotype with her next Mollywood outing.
In Shaji Kailas��� Madirashi, Meghana will be seen in a comic role. The actress is, naturally, excited about attempting comedy on screen for the first time.���I play a tomboy, a con artiste of sorts. The character is fun and I am having a blast portraying the same,��� says the actress, who spoke to Times of India from the location of her film, in Palghat.
It has been 15 days into the shoot and Meghana says that the role has come as a big relief as she hates being typecast. ���While I welcomed the change, comedy is something totally new to me as an actress; so I had my own reservations before the shoot. However, once I started shooting, I found it was quite easy. Everything about the character, from the way I speaks to my body language, has a comic element to it. What���s more, the director has given me the freedom to improvise as well,��� says the actress.
Meghana says that the fact that actor Jayaram is her co-star has only made things easier. ���Jayaram has many hit comedy films to his credit and his comic timing is superb. It made the shoot all the more relaxing,��� says the actress, who will next be seen in a modern avatar in Oru New York Sayahnam.
