Looks like 2012 is good for me, she says with a smile. In Madirasi, I play a school teacher who is bold to the core. I took it up because, one, its a Shaji Kailas film; and two, the role gives me substantial scope to perform, says Meera. However, she asserts that going bold should not be mistaken with going glamorous. Ive set my limits; and as a matter of policy, Ill never venture beyond that, says Meera, adding, I better be aware what kind of clothes suits me and what roles I can do justice to, to make my new innings really successful.
But does this stand of hers differ in Tollywood? Never. True; I play a modern girl in my next, director Vamsi Krishnas Fourth Degree. But Ive not stretched my limitations to bag roles, however good they may be. Meera has just wound up director Kannan Perumudiyoors Aattakadha, a film set against the backdrop of the Kerala Kalamandalam. This is the first time Im paired with actor Vineeth. I play a singer in the film.
The shoot of Madirasi is scheduled to start on June 25. Meera is hoping to stay put in M-Town, with more interesting films coming her way.
