Marivillin Gopurangal's trailer: The glimpse promises a heartwarming family entertainer

Indrajith Sukumaran, Shruti Ramachandran, Sarjano Khalid, and Win C Aloshious starrer ‘Marivillin Gopurangal’ is set to hit the big screens on May 10. The film, which is named after the evergreen chartbuster ‘Marivillin Gopurangal’ song from ‘Summer in Bethlehem’, promised a feel-good entertainer ahead.

The film travels through the lives of a married couple and another young, unmarried couple. The unmarried are pregnant, and the mom-to-be doesn’t have plans of getting married to her baby daddy, contrary to what ‘conventional’ society expects.

The trailer confirms that the audience is in for a heartwarming film, laced with beautiful music by Vidya Sagar.

A Vidyasagar musical, ‘Marivillin Gopurangal’ is directed by Arun Bose. Pramod Mohan is the screenwriter and co-director. Syamaprakash M.S. is the DOP. Shaijal P. V. and Arun Bose are the editors. Noble Jacob is the project designer. The art department is handled by Anees Nadodi. The makeup is done by Jithesh Poyya, and the costumes are designed by Gayathri Kishore.

Speaking about the film earlier, the director Arun Bose said, “Unlike an action, slapstick, or social drama film, a romantic comedy film might look simple. But for a filmmaker, it is, aesthetically, a risky genre to approach. For most of the runtime of the film, you have just the lead pair alone sharing the screen space. And hence, their meaningful and organic chemistry is highly demanding to keep the narrative gripping. It has to reshape from the written lines of the script into something more magical with performance and smart choreography of movements. As a director, that is my adventure.”
