Mansi is Mammootty’s new heroine

Punjabi girl Mansi Sharma’s face is quite familiar to us, thanks to her presence in some of the popular television commercials. A model, who made her tinseltown debut through a Punjabi film, Mansi is all set to try her luck next in M’wood, that too opposite Mammootty in Marthandan’s Accha Din.
“Malayalam is, no doubt, a tough language, but I am quite excited to debut here.Moreover, I always wanted to work with Mammootty,” says Mansi, who was roped in for the project after its makers spotted her in one of her commercials. She plays Sheethal from Jharkhand, who is married to Mammootty’s character. “The couple comes down to Kerala from Jharkhand and struggle to survive here. I play a pregnant woman in the film,” says Mansi, adding that it has been a challenging role, but lot of fun. “I had to wear a duplicate tummy all the time, and show Sheethal’s physical exhaustion in my moves. As the story unfolds in a village set up, my getup is also quite traditional. My character almost always appears in salwar suits,” she says.
Mansi’s first Punjabi film Jugaadi.com, a romcom, will soon hit the screens. She has also signed up yet another Punjabi movie with singer-actor Feroz Khan in the lead.
