Manju Warrier shares her excitement about ‘Thunivu’ release

‘Thunivu’ starring Ajith Kumar is gearing up to hit the big screens on Wednesday (Jan 11), and actress Manju Warrier, who has roped in to play the leading lady has shared her excitement about the release. She is quite thrilled about the release of ‘Thunivu’, as it marks her second Tamil release. Manju Warrier made her debut in Kollywood in 2019 with ‘Asuran’, in which she co-starred with Dhanush, and their performances were lauded by critics and cinephiles alike.

Manju Warrier took to her social media handle on Monday (Jan 9) evening and shared a poster from the film and captioned, “#THUNIVU ❤️ 2 DAYS TO GO!!! #ajithkumar #AK #hvinoth #boneykapoor.”

Helmed by H Vinoth, ‘Thunivu’ is touted to be a heist thriller. The makers launched a power-packed stylish trailer from the film lately, and it grabbed the eyeballs of the movie buffs for all the right reasons.

In a recent interview with Chennai Times, Manju Warrier spoke about why she said yes to ‘Thunivu’. “Many Tamil films came my way post the success of Asuran, but I felt most of the roles were similar to my previous work. My character in Thunivu is something that I haven't done before; even the script is unique. I said yes immediately when Vinoth called to ask if I wanted to be part of Ajith's next film that would also have several stunt sequences. I mean, who would say no to an Ajith film.”


Speaking about her character she added, “I am part of this adventurous group who are on a mission. Who they are and what they are into will be a secret until the film is out. It was quite challenging as I had to perform quite a few stunt sequences.
