Manju Warrier, Jayasurya to team up for Vellam director’s next?

– have been lauded by the critics and audiences alike. The expectations will be high for the next project, which is scheduled to begin soon, and now we hear that the movie will also mark the first time that Jayasurya will be working with Manju Warrier.

A source close to the team told us that

Warrier is almost confirmed to be part of the movie. When we reached out to director Prajesh Sen, however, he said, “Nothing is confirmed. We are only working out the dates right now. We should be able to finalise the cast by next week. The only thing that I can say right now is that B Rakesh (Meran Naam Shaji, Dakini) is the film’s producer.”

Prajesh had earlier told the press that the upcoming movie with Jayasurya will have Thiruvananthapuram as the main location. Jayasurya too had confirmed that it will be his next project. The actor is also awaiting the release of Ranjith Sankar’s Sunny that he had shot after the lockdown.

Their movie Vellam had Jayasurya playing the role of an alcoholic. It was the first Malayalam film to hit theatres after the lockdown and also starred Samyuktha Menon and Siddique.

Meanwhile, Manju Warrier had completed the shoot of Lalitham Sundaram. Prior to the lockdown, she had finished the shoot of Padavettu, Chathumukham, Kayattam and Jack and Jill. She is also set to team up with Soubin Shahir this year in Mahesh Vettiyaar’s Vellarikkapattanam.
