Manju Warrier, who plays the lead in techno horror film Chathur Mukham, has announced that they are temporarily pulling the film from theatres. Making the announcement through her social media handle, the actress wrote, “We want to thank family audiences for the enthusiastic response to

Chathur Mukham

in theatres; it has been beyond our expectations. Most of the shows were running to ‘full house’ under the

COVID

conditions. But we are sad to announce that we are forced to temporarily withdraw the film from theatres. Once the COVID situation is under control, we will bring it back. Please follow government regulations on safety.”

Chathur Mukham, directed by Ranjeet Kamala Sankar-Salil V, released in theatres on April 8. The film, which also has Sunny Wayne and Alencier in prominent roles, looks at a haunting presence in the mobile technology, which is a vital part of our lives today.

While

FEFKA

has said that theatre owners can decide whether they will continue screenings, Rajisha Vijayan starrer Kho Kho, a sports movie directed by Rahul Riji Nair, too has been

withdrawn from theatres

because of the COVID situation. The second wave of the COVID pandemic has seen quite a few M-Town stars test positive, including Tovino and Aishwarya Lakshmi, who were in home quarantine. Tovino has posted on social media today that he is now COVID negative.
