Yathra Chodikkathe directed by Aneesh Varma will be a tribute to the Mollywood's favourite actor,
Kalabhavan Mani. Being a family drama, the movie revolves around the relationship of a man named Balan and his daughter, where Mani plays the lead role. 'This is the last movie Mani has acted in. We had shot it seven or eight months back but the release was postponed due to several reasons. Now we plan to bring it to theatres as a tribute to the late actor (sic)', says Aneesh Varma.
Actress Reena Basheer dons the role of Mani's wife, while Sandhya plays their daughter. 'When I narrated him the story of Yathra Chodikkathe, Mani was so touched. He was teary eyed as being a father he could relate a lot about the movie (sic),' says Aneesh.
