After having its World Premiere in Jan 2018 at 47th International Film Festival of Rotterdam, Mammootty's upcoming Tamil movie
Peranbu
a.k.a. Resurrection is all set to be screened at the 21st Shanghai International Film Festival which will be held from June 16th to June 25th 2018 at the city of Shanghai, China.
At the 47th International Film Festival of Rotterdam, Peranbu was the only Indian film listed in the top 20 amongst the 187 world films competing for the Audience Award category. Also, Peranbu was nominated for the NETPAC award.
The film written and Directed by Ram has Anjali, ‘Thangameenkal’ Sadhna and
Anjali Ameer playing pivotal roles. The emotional family drama has Mammootty playing the role of a taxi driver who is also a dotting father.
The songs are written by lyricist and poet Vairamuthu and composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
