Mammootty’s next with Roby Varghese Raj titled ‘Kannur Squad’, first look poster out

Mammootty’s upcoming film with debutant Roby Varghese Raj has been titled ‘Kannur Squad’. The makers also launched the first look poster of the film. Helmed by debutant Roby Varghese Raj, ‘Kannur Squad’ is an investigation thriller, starring Mammootty in the lead role.


“Presenting The First Look Poster of Kannur Squad ! Directed by Roby Varghese Raj & Produced by Mammootty Kampany,” Mammootty said, launching the first look and title poster.

A popular cinematographer Roby Varghese Raj is marking his debut as a director with ‘Kannur Squad’. The screenplay of ‘Kannur Squad’ is crafted by Muhammad Shafi and actor Rony David Raj.

The team had kickstarted the shoot a few days ago. Kannur, Kasargod, Wayanad, Ernakulam, Trivandrum, Paala, Pune, Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh, Manglore, and Coimbatore are the major locations of the film.

On the technical front, Muhammed Rahil has roped in as the cinematogrpher, and Praveen Prabhakar is the editor. Sushin Shyam is composing the music for the film. Tony Babu is in charge of the sound design. Shaji Naduvil is the production designer of ‘Kannur Squad’. Ronex Xavier is the makeup man. Arun Manohar and Abhijith are designing the costumes for the film.

On the work front, Mammootty’s recent release was ‘Christopher’ directed by B Unnikrishnan. The film featured Mammootty as a cop, and it received decent reviews from the audience.
