Mammootty is a veteran ganamela singer in Ramesh Pisharody’s Ganagandharvan

Pisharody hopes to begin the shoot by mid-2019
Actor Ramesh Pisharody surprised Mammootty fans on November 1 by announcing his second directorial, featuring the megastar.

Titled Ganagandharvan, the movie will be a tale of a music buff played by Mammootty.
Pisharody, who had earlier directed Jayaram and Kunchacko Boban in Panchavarnathatha, tells us, “It’s a story of a veteran singer who is very good at what he does but could only amount to be a ganamela singer. His passion for music and his everyday struggle to meet both ends meet in his personal life make the movie.”

The director explains that he has a lot of friends who are facing a similar situation and that’s what prompted him to pick up the story. Ramesh reveals that it is a dream come true to direct Mammootty.

The screenplay is written by Hari P Nair, who had also penned Panchavarnathatha. “Ganagandharvan will be a complete entertainer with a serious story and humorous elements,” Pisharody explains. “The scripting is on and we hope to begin the shoot by mid-2019,” he says.
