Entire Keralites are shaken after hearing the news of 22-year-old Dr. Vandana Das being stabbed to death by a patient on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. The incident happened at Kottarakkara taluk hospital and recently the Mollywood actor Mammootty paid a visit to Dr. Vandana’s house and extended condolences to the grieving family.

The tragic news of 22-year-old Dr. Vandana Das being fatally stabbed by a patient at Kottarakkara Taluk Hospital has deeply shaken the people of Kerala. In a gesture of support, renowned Mollywood actor Mammootty visited Dr. Vandana's family and offered his heartfelt condolences during this difficult time.

Reportedly, Mammootty arrived at Dr. Vandana’s house around 8:30 pm and spent some minutes extending support and condolences to Vandana’s parents.The actor was accompanied by producer Anto Joseph and the actor Ramesh Pisharody.

Dr. Vandana’s funeral took place on Thursday afternoon on the premises of her home which is located in Muttuchira (May 11) She was the only daughter of her parents KG Mohandas and Vasanthakumari. Following the brutal incident, the culprit Sandeep was remanded and admitted to Poojappura Central Prison on May 11 night.
Several other Mollywood celebrities took to their official social media handles to express condolences over the demise of the young doctor. Reportedly, to commemorate the services of Dr. Vandana Das, a new block at the Kottarakkara Taluk Hospital will be named after her.
