Mammootty, Asha Sharath to team up for Uncle

Mammootty and Asha Sharath, who had starred together in films such as Varsham and Pulikaaran Staraa, will once again play a couple in Gireesh Damodhar’s upcoming film Uncle.
The movie scripted by actor-director Joy Mathew is touted to be a social drama and will revolve around a family. Reports suggest that Mammootty and Asha Sharath will play husband and wife while Karthika Muraleedharan of Comrade in America fame will also essay an important character in the film.
The movie has Kozhikode and Ooty as its main locations. Mammootty is also expected to resume the shooting of Sharrath Sandith’s debut directorial, which was stalled due to the rains in Kerala. The film will start shooting by October first week.
