Mammootty and Mohanlal praise 18-year-old D Gukesh for becoming youngest World Chess Champion

It’s indeed a proud moment for India as the 18-year-old Indian Grandmaster D Gukesh won over Chinese title-holder Ding Liren to become the youngest world chess champion. As praises are coming in from everywhere for the little champion, the Malayalam superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal also joined the chorus of praises for D Gukesh.

Taking to his official Twitter handle, Mohanlal shared a Tweet praising D Gukesh’s magnificent victory. The ‘Barroz’ actor’s Tweet read, “Heartiest congratulations to @DGukesh on an extraordinary triumph at the World Chess Championship! Your brilliance has rewritten history and made India proud. The youngest champion ever, a moment to cherish forever.”

On the other hand, Mammootty also shared a Tweet along with a snap of D Gukesh in a victorious pose. Along with praising D Gukesh for his big win, the actor said that his win will inspire millions of young minds to dream big in life.

Meanwhile, the thrilling match between D Gukesh and Ding Liren concluded in Singapore on Thursday, December 12. D Gukesh won in the 14th and the final game of the match. Securing 7.5 points, surpassing Ding Liren’s 6.5 points.
