'Mamangam' director M Padmakumar's son, who returned from Paris was tested positive for COVID-19 and has successfully left the hospital after getting cured of the disease. The director's son was under treatment at the Kalamassery Medical college, Ernakulam. He was cured of the pandemic and has now been discharged from the hospital.
As per sources, M Padmakumar's son returned from Paris during the Coronavirus outbreak in March and was under self quarantine for 14 days.
In the course of time, Padmakumar's son was tested positive for COVID-19 and was shifted to the hospital. The youngster has successfully got cured of the disease and has been discharged from the hospital now. The director took to his social media handle to express his gratitude towards the health workers and state government, who are working tirelessly against the disease. He penned a note of gratitude for the health workers who have been selflessly working towards fighting the disease. The director has also expressed his respect and gratitude for Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, the Health Minister KK Shailaja and Ernakulam district collector for their work.
In his Facebook post, M Padmakumar wrote, “Dear all, My son (name) and his colleague (name) has been discharged from Kalamassery MC, after the treatment of COVID 19 successfully. Lots of thanks & Love to the Doctors, nurses and all other health workers who were dedicated to fight against this disease... And my love to the Captain of the entire team our Honourable CM, Sri PINARAYI VIJAYAN, our Health Minister Smt. Shylaja teacher, our district Collector S. Suhas and all... This is not just an expression of gratitude, also my pride about my state, my Government which is No: 1 among the world for leading and caring their people very sincerely. On the work front, M Padmakumar’s recent directorial was the magnum opus 'Mamangam'. Starring Mammootty, the movie was made on a massive budget.
