Fahadh Faasil’s ‘Malayankunju’ which hit the big screens on July 22 has indeed gained several positive responses from the audience and according to the reports, the survival thriller has raked in Rs 1.6 crores on its second-day theatrical run.
According to the Twitter forums that track box office collections, Fahadh Faasil’s ‘Malayankunju’ has earned Rs 1.6 crores and if the collection reports remain steady over the weekend, it can be expected that the Fahadh Faasil starrer may earn up to Rs 6 crores in the opening weekend.

Even with good reports flooding in for ‘Malayankunju’, the Fahadh Faasil starrer is taking it slow at the Kerala box office as the film earned reportedly over Rs 1.50 crores on its opening day, and on day 2, the film managed to earn only Rs 1.6 crores. All hopes are in for the coming days as the majority of the audience has liked the movie and netizens are calling it a masterpiece coupled with a terrific making style and performances.
Helmed by the debutant Sajimon Prabhakar, the script of ‘Malayankunju’ is penned down by the director Mahesh Narayanan who also cranked the lens for the movie. AR Rahman did the music composition for the Fahadh Faasil starrer and according to the netizens, the entire feel of the second half of the movie is lifted by his magical composition. Netizens also shared much adulation for Fahadh Faasil's terrific performance in the movie.
Apart from Fahadh Faasil, ‘Malayankunju’ also has the actors Rajisha Vijayan, Jaffer Idukki, Deepak Parambol, and several others in significant roles.
