Anoop Menon has been part of several hit films in the past five years.
The movies he scripted, like Cocktail and Beautiful, were also credited for ushering in the so-called new-generation cinema. However, the actor tells us there isn’t a particular formula that can guarantee success.
“To get people to see a movie is very difficult,” says Anoop. “The Malayali audience don’t lap up anything.

We don't go for a movie just because Salman Khan is there in it. We go to watch movies that entertain us and also make us think.”
The actor also says that now when movies hardly run for 50 days, what films such as Drishyam, Bangalore Days and Premam have achieved is “no mean feat”.
