‘Malayalee From India' box office collection day 15: Nivin Pauly’s film mints Rs 7 lakh on Wednesday

Nivin Pauly's latest release, ‘Malayalee From India’ made a net collection of Rs 7 lakh from India on Wednesday, May 15, according to a report by Sacnilk. The film directed by Dijo Jose Antony is witnessing a rather slowdown, especially as it enters the third week. Despite a slowdown in its box office performance, the film continues to sustain a strong reception in theaters.

In contrast to other Malayalam films released during a similar timeframe, 'Malayalee From India' has achieved respectable box office figures and is reportedly a lucrative endeavor for its makers.

The makers of 'Malayalee From India' recently dropped a success trailer, and as there are only a few other Malayalam releases in the cinemas, the Nivin Pauly starrer is expected to bring in more numbers at the box office.

Helmed by Dijo Jose Antony, ‘Malayalee From India’ has Nivin Pauly, Dhyan Sreenivasan and Anaswara Rajan in the lead roles.

ETimes rated the film 3 out of 5 and wrote, “Dijo Jose Antony's Malayalee From India is a well intentioned film with the makings of something that could have done wonders in terms of political commentary or even addressing the root of some of the social issues. But, somewhere the control over the story and the scale of it is lost, leading to an underwhelming climax which was more for the gallery than anything. That said, Nivin Pauly has once again given a good performance which was wild and unhinged when necessary and grounded when that was required. The message of the film is clear but it goes to deliver it in such a roundabout way that one would feel like they watched two different films.”
