Malayalam’s first dark web thriller ‘@’ wraps up the shoot

This year the Malayalam film industry will be witnessing its first-ever dark web thriller titled ‘@’ and the makers announced the shooting wrap-up of the film recently. The film is completely shot at Aluva and Chottanikkara in Ernakulam.

‘@’ is directed by Don Max who is well known as an editor for several films such as ‘Meppadiyan’, ‘Vidhi’, ‘Kuruthi’ and has also done the trailer edits for the films ‘Forensic’, ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’, ‘Varane Avashyamund’, and ‘Lucifer’.The script of the film is also written by Don Max.

Apart from the fact that ‘@’ marks the first dark web thriller in Mollywood, the film also has another specialty as the late director-writer Sachy’s son Akash Sen will be making his acting debut in the film. The film also has a list of talented cast that includes Shaju Sreedhar, Rachel David, Sanjana Jose, Nayana Elza, and Sharanjith.

Previously in an interview with the director Don Max by an online media channel, he revealed that he did a lot of research on the subject of the dark web and its possibilities of committing crimes in the future. He also added that the story of ‘@’ is something that everyone can relate to.
Ravi Chandran is roped in as the cinematographer for ‘@’ and Ishan Dev is in charge of the music department. Shameer Mohammed will handle the editing department of Malayalam’s first dark web thriller.
The expectations are high for the upcoming film '@' written and directed by Don Max as the genre is something that the Malayalam film industry hasn't tried before.
